WTM 2021: Italian Minister of Tourism, Massimo Garavaglia, officially opens stand

Yesterday at WTM, the Italian Minister of Tourism, Massimo Garavaglia, officially opened the Italy stand.

Mr Garavaglia was joined by the president of the National Italian Tourist Board (ENIT), Mr Giorgio Palmucci, the chief executive of the National Italian Tourism Board (ENIT) Ms Roberta Garibaldi, and secretary general UNWTO Zurab Pololikashvili. 

During a short speech on the stand, Mr Garavaglia announced two exciting new events to be hosted in Italy next year; The Youth Tourism Conference in Sorrento and the Wine Tourism Conference in Alba. He spoke of an optimistic future for Italian tourism and thanked the delegation of 17 regions attending WTM for their continued support.

The regions exhibiting include: Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Emilia Romagna, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Liguria, Lombardia, Marche, Piemonte, Puglia, Sicilia, Toscana, Trentino, Comune di Genova, Sardinia and Veneto.
