Jet2holidays welcomes Canary Islands return and announces restart date

Jet2holidays has announced that flights and holidays to the Canary Islands will restart from October 30 onward.

The holiday specialist will resume flights to Tenerife (commencing from October 30) as well as Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura (all commencing from November 1 onward) from all nine of its UK bases (Belfast International, Birmingham, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Manchester, Newcastle and London Stansted).

As the UK?s largest operator to the Canary Islands, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays is recommencing with a programme that offers choice and flexibility for British holidaymakers who are looking to get away for some much-needed winter sunshine.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: ?We welcome today?s announcement and we know that our customers, who want to get flying again, will do so too. For some time we have been calling for a proportionate, evidence-based approach to safe travel and this is very much a step in the right direction. There is much to do still, and we look forward to working with government to achieve that.?
