Abercrombie & Kent offer an African adventure safari for 2021

Abercrombie & Kent is offering a 13-day adventure safari trip, The Great Migration Safari, which will consist of a small group (18 members) journey to Kenya and Tanzania in 2021.

A&K's trip includes stays at Fairmont The Norfolk, Sanctuary Swala, Gibbs Farm, Tawi Lodge, Sanctuary Olonana and Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti. The journey starts from Nairobi, with a day or two reserved for a visit to each national park, and includes four intermittent flights and road trips connecting five major tourist spots.

Amboseli National Park at the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro, is the place to spot lions, leopards and Cape buffalos roaming around the swamps and dry lakes, followed by the Tarangire National Park, which offers a nice view of the expansive wooded Savanna, with resident herds of impala grazing.

Other than game drives, guests can also take part in night safaris to spot African wildcats, leopard, hyena and lion under specialised light at an additional fee or learn to prepare local dishes like ugali, makande and kachumbari. Meals make for a community experience, either in the form of welcome dinner at Amboseli or the one enjoyed within the Ngorongo crater area.

Those interested can explore the Nogorongoro Conservation area, with a tuk tuk ride around the Mbu village, offers a rare chance to taste banana beer from the local market. Other activities which can be tried, include a walk with the Maasai healer or enjoying a high-tea with a local artiste in residence at the Gibb's farm.

If the travellers find themselves smitten with the raw charm and simple grandeur of Africa, they can seek a four day, pre- or post tour extension of their luxury small group journey. The pre-tour takes visitors to Victoria Falls and the post-tour extension takes them to Uganda, at additional and differing prices.
