A summer holiday in Ireland for up to five people and including ferry crossings now costs from £800 with Irish Ferries Holidays.

The seven-night holiday can be taken any week between July 14 and August 18 at Moore Bay Holiday Homes just a few minutes’ away from a Blue Flag beach in County Clare, and represents a saving of £70 on the original brochure price.

Each cottage sleeps up to five and within the grounds there’s a tennis court, crazy golf, football pitch and toddlers’ play area. Local activities include Kilkee Surf School, a water-sports centre, fishing trips and golf courses. The seaside resort of Kilkee, just a few minutes’ drive away, has an indoor aqua park and a selection of pubs and restaurants.

Other holidays where the same deal applies include Seacliffe holiday cottages in County Waterford, where a week’s stay for a family of up to five now costs £839.

And in County Cork, Sam Maguire’s Cottages just outside Clonakilty are now available for £844 for a family of up to six.

Other discounted cottage holiday locations include Killarney, Tralee, Wexford, Druids Glen in County Wicklow and Swords just outside Dublin.

All discounted holidays must be booked by June 16 and prices include self-catering accommodation and ferry crossings from Dublin or Pembroke for a family car, two adults and up to four children.
