Regent Holidays expands Iceland offerings

Regent Holidays has expanded its 2021 programme with a number of Icelandic itineraries, ahead of the anticipation that the destination could make the UKs green list for summer holidays.

Andrea Godfrey, brand manager, said: ?We?ve already seen a hike in bookings since Iceland was tipped as one of the ?green list? countries. Clients are being attracted, not just by the likelihood of no quarantine, but also by the space and opportunities for staying remote in beautiful landscapes, pretty much everywhere across the country?

New tours include a guided tour of Geldingadalur Volcano, which erupted in March and continues to emit lava, providing the bucket-list opportunity to walk (safely) amongst an active volcano. Regent Holidays offers this tour alongside any Iceland break, including transfers, for ?65 per person.

For a more leisurely excursion, the operator is also offering Iceland's only electric-powered boat for a near silent whale watching experience, minimising wildlife disruption and providing a scenic environment to observe Iceland's marine life. The tour is included as part of the seven-day 'Iceland Arctic Coastway' fly-drive itinerary, which starts from ?1,395 per person including flights, accommodation, and car hire.

A more romantic, relaxing and wellness-fuelled experience is also on offer with the four-night 'Geothermal Spa Winter Break', which offers three geothermal spa experiences, Northern Lights spotting, including flights, accommodation and excursions, from ?745 per person.
