Qatar National Tourism Council emphasises tourism advancements to the country

Qatar National Tourism Council has decided to commemorate the completion of 40 years of World Tourism Day on Sunday by discussing the progress they have made towards implementing the Qatar National Vision 2030.

Qatar National Vision 2030 is a programme aimed at developing a higher standard of living for its residents and visitors sustainably.

To improve its tourist offerings, the number of rooms available in the country is set to double in the coming years, with 112 hotel properties currently in the development stage. Among the new developments are palatial hotel complex, The Plaza Doha Anantara Hotel & Suites, and the exclusive, five-star Pullman Doha West Bay.

In addition, with the implementation of the Qatar Clean programme and a comprehensive training programme for tour guides, Qatar has worked to ensure that visitor experience and safety remains the most important factor.
