INFINITY POOL DECK 8

MSC Cruises begins the countdown to MSC Seashore's launch

Six months before it takes to the seas, the cruise line has spotlighted its latest next-generation ship.

MSC Cruises has kickstarted the six-month countdown to the first sailing of the MSC Seashore with a preview into the ship's innovative design features and unique guest-focused offerings.

The ship will boast 13,000 sqm of outdoor space, from exterior bars and dining, pools and expanses of sun decks. Six pools will feature enlarged poolside areas, including a new infinity pool and two infinity whirlpools.

A 540 metre-long waterfront promenade will bring guests closer to the seas than ever, and offer al fresco dining options and bars.

Guests will be able to choose from 11 types of cabin and suites with balconies, 50 terraced suites with extended balconies up to 15 sqm, and 32 different suites with outdoor private whirlpools- letting guests of all budgets enjoy the Seashore's luxury from the comfort of their cabin.

MSC Cruises' executive chairman, Pierfrancesco Vago, said: ?MSC Seashore represents an evolution of the Seaside class as an extended and further enriched ship. 65% of the public areas have been reimagined to create something truly unique for our guests. The new aft design has allowed us to introduce a brand-new lounge, Cabaret Rouge, spanning two decks with panoramic views of the sea, offering new entertainment experiences. The specialty restaurant experience has been completely redesigned with the Chef?s Court on deck 8 making this a go-to destination for bars and restaurants."

The ship will also feature a number of innovative hygiene features, Vago explains: "MSC Seashore will be the first cruise ship in the world to feature a new air sanitation system developed by Fincantieri. ?Safe Air?, uses UV-C lamp technology eliminating 99% of viruses and bacteria to guarantee clean and safe air for guests and crew. As part of our ongoing commitment to the environment and our journey towards total decarbonisation, MSC Seashore will also be equipped with the latest-generation environmental technology with improvements to energy efficiency, (and) the latest systems to reduce air emissions.?

The MSC Seashore will take the mantle of the company's new flagship when it launches in August for its inaugural season. Based in the Mediterranean, the MSC Seashore will call at Genoa, Naples, Messina, Valetta, Barcelona and Marseille on a number of four- to 18-night Mediterranean itineraries from ?349 per person.

After its inaugural season, the ship will home port in Miami from November 2021, for a programme of five- to 14-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries, including calls at Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, the cruise line's new private island in the Bahamas, from ?449 per person.
