A new survey by Hotels.com has revealed that 35% of global travellers remove hotel amenities including bath robes, bedding and luxury coffee.

?

While the majority of hotel guests globally (65%) say they?ve never pilfered an item from a hotel room (excluding toiletries), it is Danish travellers that come out on top as exceptionally honest, with 88% saying they?ve never pocketed anything they shouldn?t from a hotel room.?

Some 74% of UK travellers say they have never taken anything from their hotel room, ranking 14th overall out of the countries surveyed.

While it is in-room magazines, books, linens and towels that seem to be the main focus for sticky-fingered travellers, other items that those surveyed admitted to taking included the bathrobe, pillows, electronics, in-room furniture and even an iron.?

While more than a third of global travellers have stolen hotel amenities, there are a few niceties that guest are willing to pay for; a room with a view (29%) and a balcony (17%) came out on top.
