Bulgaria has reclaimed its top position as this summer’s bargain buy in the Family Holiday Report 2011 by Post Office Travel Money.

The survey takes into account costs such as eating out for a family of four and buying typical ‘must-have’ items like jelly shoes, lilos and coca cola.

According to the survey, Bulgaria’s Sunny Beach on the Black Sea pushed the Algarve off the top slot thanks to its non-Euro status. Balkan Holidays is offering flights from 20 regional airports to Bourgas Airport for Sunny Beach and is offering a range of deals with savings of nearly 50% plus all-inclusive deals at Sunny Beach and other Bulgarian resorts. Holidaymakers looking to book early for next year can also receive offers including a low deposit of £70 per person, early booking discounts of up to £371 per couple, special offers throughout the season saving customers up to £320 per couple, a 5% loyalty bonus for previous bookers, two weeks for the price of one on selected hotels and apartments, free child places and child prices from £99, 20kg standard luggage allowance per person on charter flights and 30kg free luggage allowance on charter flights staying at a Premier Selection hotel and no single supplements applicable plus group discounts. Flight-only and accommodation-only options are also available.
