Three Cities Group has expanded its management and marketing services into East Africa with the recent acquisition of the Zanzibar Beach Resort and Kunduchi Beach Hotel and Resort in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

John Creighton, managing director of the company said: “We are very excited to add both these hotels into our portfolio and to be expanding our footprint into East Africa. We intend to expand further into Tanzania and further across the region. This brings to date four other African countries outside of South Africa that the Three Cities Group operates in.

“We understand the expectation of service and quality that local and international travellers expect from our establishments within Southern Africa. The same applies for the continent and it is only natural that we extend our service credibility and the Three Cities Group’s vision to be recognised as Africa's leading hospitality brand of choice.

“According to Tanzania’s Minister of Natural Resources and Tourism, Honourable Ambassador Khamis S. Kagasheki, MP, tourism is the leading earner of Foreign Exchange in Tanzania, and the United States is Tanzania's most significant tourist generating market. As a Group, we intend on aligning our services and properties to accommodate this growing market in the land of Kilimanjaro, Zanzibar and the Serengeti.”
