Rotana has announced that it will continue its aggressive growth strategy in order to achieve its aim of opening a managed property in all the major cities throughout the MEA Region and beyond within the next five years.

President and CEO of Rotana, Selim El Zyr, said: "In 2013, we will more than double our property openings compared to 2012 and we have recently announced a hotel agreement in Turkey and just signed an agreement for a property in Mauritania in West Africa, a first for us in both countries."
As well as announcing the signing of the management contract for the company's first hotel in Mauritania, to open in late 2014, El Zyr also shared the impending opening date of its first hotel in Oman.

Situated in Salalah in the Sultanate of Oman, the five-star Salalah Rotana Resort is set to open in the second quarter of next year and is located in a prime coastal spot, offering 399 guest rooms and 45 three- and four-bedroom villas.
The resort features a private beach, tropical gardens, lagoon-style swimming pool, lobby bar and café, all day dining area, specialty restaurant, a spa and four meeting rooms.
