Wendy Wu Tours is promoting two trips where travellers can follow in the footsteps of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s royal tour to India and Bhutan.
A 23-day ‘Himalayan Kingdoms’ tour explores northern India and takes a lesser known path through the Himalayas. It is available from £4,790 per person and includes a ride on the iconic Darjeeling Toy Train through West Bengal’s spectacular scenery, a visit to the Tibetan-inspired Tashiding Monastery, a jeep safari through the Gorumara Wildlife Sanctuary - home to the elusive One Horned Rhino - and treks to Chimi Lakhang, the ‘Temple of Fertility’ and the Tiger’s Nest Monastery.
Alternatively, the eight-day ‘Land of the Thunder Dragon’ private tour includes a visit to the friendly Buddhist city of Thimphu, a walk to Chimi Lakhang, an exploration of Wangdue Phodrang’s Old Town and Market, a trip to Rinpung Dzong - home of the Paro Festival - and the dramatic scenery of the Tiger’s Nest Monastery.
Both tours include flights, transport, four-star accommodation, touring, most meals and transfers.
