Virgin Holidays has announced that it is launching its first ever dedicated Mexico brochure next month as the destination gears up for an increase in UK holidaymakers travelling on the new direct London – Cancun service from Virgin Atlantic.

The 52-page brochure will more than double the current programme to feature 30 hotels in Cancun, Riviera Maya, Playacar and Cozumel, as well as a selection of excursions.

The operator's managing director, Amanda Wills, said: “The new direct service will finally give us the additional capacity needed. Whether it is beautiful beaches, great hotels or fascinating cultural heritage, Mexico boasts many of the things our customers love. We know those holidaying there with us in the future will receive a very warm welcome and have a fantastic experience."

The company has sold Mexico as part of its Caribbean brochure for more than ten years, and currently features 14 hotels.

Packages in the new brochure lead in at £799 for a seven-night all-inclusive break.
