AmaWaterways is offering guests the chance to save £500 per person on last minute sailings along the French rivers this summer.

The company's Taste of Bordeaux sailings follow a route along the Garonne River and its surrounding estuaries, exploring one of the world’s most famous wine capitals.

Guests have the opportunity to visit Bordeaux’s famous chateaux and vineyards with stops at Cadillac’s Roquetaillaide Castle, a Medoc wine tasting in Pauillac and an excursion at Chateau de Montaigne in Libourne.

The operator's Paris and Normandy sailing, which travels along the Seine River are ideal for history and art lovers as they become inspired by the same landscapes that captivated artists like Monet, Renoir and Gauguin, along with visits to the Normandy Beaches and Les Andelys.

Prices for a seven-night Taste of Bordeaux, which departs on July 27, leads in at £2,011 per person (from £2,511).
