Millennium Hotels and Resorts ran its ‘Through the Lens’ photography competition, with the results celebrated at an award ceremony at Chelsea Harbour Hotel in London.

The competition aimed to showcase the beauty of Britain and nurture photography talent, with Photos of Northern Ireland winning the overall prize and the People’s Choice award.

The winner, Brian McCready, won the top prize of £5,000 worth of photography equipment and the photographer, who specialises in the Mourne Mountains, captured the winning shot on the summit of Slieve Corragh (pictured) in Northern Ireland.

Nayan Peshkar, senior vice president of digital, distribution and revenue strategy at Millennium Hotels and Resorts, said: “With 21 hotels across the UK, we’re passionate about constantly discovering new and interesting sides of this vibrant country, which is why we wanted to give photographers a chance to showcase our beautiful Britain. We’re delighted that the competition has captured the public’s imagination and with the tremendous standard of the entries.”
