Thomas Cook is offering £100 travel money on summer breaks

Thomas Cook is offering holidaymakers £100 of free spending money, encouraging them to book their next summer break while beating the winter blues.

In order to avail the offer, customers should visit Thomas Cook store and book a package holiday at their own brand hotel. The £100 travel money will be issued on a Lyk Prepaid Mastercard once the full cost of the holiday has been paid (minimum spend applies) and the lead passenger returns into store. The offer applies to select holidays departing from May 1.

Commenting on the new offer, Anth Mooney, chief of UK retail and money for the group, said: “When it’s cold and dark outside we find ourselves dreaming of our next trip; it’s the thing we look forward to most of all. But a tight budget can easily put a downer on planning. Our offer gives travellers an extra £100 to spend on holiday in any way they like - whether it’s getting out and spending time together as a family on an excursion or checking out what the local city has to offer.”

The holiday specialist listed out some activities under £100.

1. Kos: Aegean Cruise – Kos sits in a cluster of islands called the Dodecanese, a beautiful part of Greece. A cruise costs about £41 per adult.

2. Gran Canaria: Submarine excursion –  Customers can explore the ocean floor with all its biodiversity at around £28 per adult and £14 per child (aged two-12 years).

3. Gran Canaria: Aqualand – Currently the largest water park in Gran Canaria, it’s open all year round and offers entertainment for everyone. A day pass costs approximately £27 per adult, £18 for children aged five-12 years and £10 for children aged three-four years). Kids under three have free entry.

4. Egypt: Hurghada City Tour – Customers can visit the local mosque and church and explore the market. After lunch, a boat trip over the Red Sea is also available. The city tour costs around £37 per adult and £18 per child (aged two-11 years).
