A recent survey by Esprit Santa's Lapland has revealed that 74% of those asked what they `love about Christmas' said it was spending time with the family and seeing the excitement on the children's faces on Christmas morning.Nearly 20% said they enjoyed guilt-free food and drink at Christmas and another 8% loved the build up to the day, with cheesy Christmas songs, making Christmas hampers and wrapping presents being among the top comments.
Meanwhile, a similar survey undertaken by HolidayExtras.com found that 28% of Brits would prefer to jet off to the sun instead of spending Christmas at home, with 12% of respondents fancying spending Christmas on the piste. A romantic 27% of travellers said that their perfect Yule would be anywhere as long as they are with the one they love and 32% of those questioned in the online poll said they would spend Christmas at home with family, even if money were no object.
