MBNA Thames Clippers has expanded its fleet of ships with the addition of two new 150-passenger catamarans.

The two new vessels, which cost £6.5 million, are the first new additions to the fleet in seven years, and have been built to a technical specification to be able to handle the tides, shallow waters and low bridges of the River Thames.

Loaded on to Hobart, the transportation vessel, they will embark on a 10,000-mile journey to the River Thames in London.
