Tourism and Technology forum will hold its first event in London on December 3.

Hosted by the president of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, who will be joined by a collective of international experts in technology and tourism, the event aims to raise awareness of ‘Brand Espana’ through exploring the use of new technologies in the travel industry.

Core topics covered will include social networks, the potential of e-commerce in the tourism sector and geo-localisation. Panels will include participants from global brands such as Google, Facebook, easyjet, Kayak, Trip advisor, NH hotels, Travel Zoo, Minube, and Bournemouth University, and will be chaired by prestigious UK bloggers.

This is the first time that is taking place outside of Spain and founder Juan Otero believes London provides the perfect platform for the event. He said: “It’s a great pleasure to organise this forum in London, capital city of Spain’s biggest market for tourism arrivals and the world’s most important financial centre. This will undoubtedly enhance the impact of our project and its objective of promoting the use of applied technologies to tourism.”

The forum is free to attend and takes place at NH Harrington Hall, 5-25 Harrington Gardens, South Kensington, SW7-4JW London.
