Tauck has announced its 2015 solo traveller savings, and the company has again eliminated the single supplement on its Category 1 European riverboat cabins.
In addition, the company is reducing the single supplement by more than £650 on 161 departures of 62 itineraries to four continents.
The operator's CEO, Dan Mahar, said: "Solo travellers love the camaraderie and sense of assurance they experience on our land tours and cruises, and we handle all of the advance planning and details for our guests, so there’s no anxiety or worry."
Besides waiving the single supplement for the Category 1 cabins on its European riverboats, the company is also taking more than £650 off the price for solo travellers booking Category 4 and 5 cabins on 37 departures of 15 different river cruises. Elsewhere in Europe, the operator has reduced the single supplement by more than £250 on 48 departures of 18 different land tours and in North America, up to £200 has been cut off the single supplement on 48 departures of 19 itineraries.
The company is also welcoming solo travellers in other ways. For example, it has dedicated four cabins for solo travellers on the two new riverboats it launched last year, the MS Savor and MS Inspire, and it also features a dedicated Solo Travel Forum and Solo Travel section on its website.
