Offering holidaymakers a real taste of Denmark, Taber Holidays’ new ‘A Taste of Skåne and Copenhagen’ tour explores the region through its cuisine.
The nine-night culinary break combines the capital with the southernmost county of Skåne, and features hotels selected for their high-quality restaurants using fresh, local ingredients.
Guests will spend three nights at Ångavallen Ecological Hotel, which features its own herb garden and uses 100% organic produce. Another two nights are spent at Kokkedal Slot Castle, which includes a three-night gourmet dinner on the first evening.
The trip also includes a new dining concept, where guests have the opportunity to dine with local people in their homes. Prices for fly/drive tours start at £1,590 per person, based on two sharing and including flights from Heathrow, car hire with unlimited mileage, accommodation with breakfast, dinner on the first night at Ångavallen and Kokkedal Slot and a guided food tour of Copenhagen. Departures are on Sunday to Thursday until September 30.
Alternatively, ‘Art & Nature Highlights of Denmark’ takes in the landscapes that have attracted artists to the north of Denmark for the past 150 years. The nine-night fly/drive itinerary includes time in the picturesque town of Skagen, home to many artists and a host of galleries, plus Denmark’s second largest city, Århus, with its Art Museum and ‘Den Gamle By’ - the old town open-air museum.
The itinerary also includes three nights in Silkeborg in the Danish Lake District and finishes in the capital, Copenhagen. Prices are based on two sharing and lead in at £1,540 including flights from Heathrow to Århus, car hire with unlimited mileage and breakfast accommodation, with departures on a daily basis until September 30.
