Taber Holidays has added two new romantic getaways to Sweden and Iceland, ideal for agents whose clients are looking for somewhere extra special to enjoy Valentine’s Day, with prices leading in at £1,345 per person for a new ‘Luxury Short Break’ to Iceland.

The four-night self-drive tour is ideal for those who want to get out and explore the country’s lunar-like landscape by day, returning each evening to Hotel Grímsborgir. Located close to the UNESCO World Heritage listed Thingvellir National Park, the hotel offers an outdoor hot tub and is close to some of Iceland’s most popular attractions including the Gullfoss Waterfall and the Geyser geothermal area.

Prices include flights from Heathrow to Keflavik with Icelandair, car hire with unlimited mileage, plus accommodation on a half-board basis. The deal is based on two sharing and a February 12 or 13 departure.
Alternatively, a new four-night ‘Lapland Indulgence’ break to Kiruna in Sweden offers an emphasis on relaxation including a holistic spa bucket experience. Guests can indulge their senses with treatments applied by themselves at their own pace, in between relaxing in the pool, unwinding in the sauna or enjoying a glass or two of wine or a cool smoothie.

The short break also features an afternoon of reindeer sledding and activities with the Sami people, an evening of Northern Lights hunting plus gourmet dinner at the Abisko Sky Station and a morning visit to the Icehotel for a guided tour and lunch.

Prices start from £1,685 and include flights from Heathrow to Kiruna via Stockholm, transfers, breakfast accommodation at the Ripan Lodge with dinner, the Spa Bucket experience, a visit to the Aurora Sky Station, a trip to the Icehotel and the reindeer encounter. Based on two sharing, it departs on February 12 and 13.
