The operator reports that its dedicated groups department is 'extremely busy' dealing with a wide range of requests for UK breaks, including enquiries for school and college groups either before the school holidays or for the autumn term once the schools return in September time.

Most UK groups are organised with some educational element within them. For example, a group of 25 people or more can book overnight in London, see a London show plus take part in a West End dance workshop from ?99 per person.

The company's sales director, Ian Mounser, said: "I believe that this market could perhaps provide new sales opportunities for agents. We are all aware that everyone is having to work harder than ever to generate sales and this may be an area agents haven?t thought about.

"There are a few travel agents based on college and university campuses and these are obviously in tune with this market.

?But the majority of agents around the country have schools and/or colleges within their catchments that could be approached.?
