Super Break is offering holidaymakers the chance to enjoy a unique Beer Spa experience whilst on an ‘Ultimate Iceland’ short break to Akureyri.

Guests can bathe in a tub filled with beer, water, hops and yeast and relax with unlimited beer on tap and to hand.

Available at the Bjorbodin spa, this experience can be pre-booked as an optional excursion on a full short break package and there are three different options available.

A ‘Beer Spa and Brewery tour’ costs from £96.50 per person and includes 25 minutes in the beer tub, 25 minutes in the relaxation room plus a tour of the nearby Bruggsmidjan brewery. Visitors can walk through the brewery, learn its story, taste a variety of beers and take home a Kaldi beer glass.

The ‘Beer Spa and Dinner’ starts from £103 per person which includes 25 minutes in the beer tub, 25 minutes in the relaxation room and a meal in the restaurant with the chance to discover a variety of meals and beer related food.

The ‘Beer Spa and Outdoor Hot Tubs’ starts from £93.50 per person, which includes 25 minutes in the beer tub, 25 minutes in the relaxation room plus for those who want to relax further there is the chance to soak in the large outdoor hot tubs which command scenic views over Hrisey island, mountains and Þorvalds valley.

Taking place in the evenings and when dark, holidaymakers might even get a glimpse of the Northern Lights during this excursion.

For winter 2019, the operator will offer 22 ‘Incredible Iceland’ departures from 13 regional airports running from December 10 through to February 23, 2019. Three- and four-night breaks are featured with prices starting from £699 and £749 per person respectively.
