Sunvil offers Greece holiday savings of up to 42%

With the news that holidays to Greece are not being impacted by bank closures Sunvil Holidays issues a statement and current summer deals, with savings of up to 42%.

Chris Wright, managing director for the operator, said: ?While cash controls have now been implemented, there is very little impact on travellers to Greece. Those with foreign bank cards are still able to withdraw cash. In fact, the restrictions on local bank accounts (a daily withdrawal limit of 50-60 euros) should help ensure that ATMs do not run out of cash.

"Our advice remains the same as that of the Foreign Office ? carry extra Euros in cash so you are not reliant on ATM withdrawals and credit cards. In the event of an emergency, we can also make cash available through our local offices if necessary.

?Greece needs our custom more than ever. Go now, and enjoy the land which created the Olympic ideal, western civilisation and all that we admire about human endeavour, while also savouring sunshine, warm, sparkling seas and wonderful cuisine.?

As an example of one of the operator?s current summer deals ?Beachside Bliss in Halkidiki? costs ?489 per person (two sharing) on a week-long stay at the family-run Akroyiali Hotel in Olymbiada, down from ?842 offering a saving of 42%. This is for a July 17 departure, seven-nights? half board and includes flights from Gatwick and transfers.
