Sunvil, which celebrates its 40th birthday this year, has launched its new Scandinavia brochure featuring Sweden, Norway and, new, The Faroe Islands.

The operating is offering tailormade trips to visit small medieval towns, coastlines and fjords, as well as cosmopolitan cities.


The brochure includes sections for planning stays in individual regions, recommending places of interest and offering information.

Excursions include lobster safaris and oyster courses in Sweden, reindeer sleigh rides and ice-fishing in Norway and private walking tours or visits to local homes in The Faroe Islands.

As examples of prices, a seven-night self-drive stay in rural Sörmland, south of Stockholm, costs from £994 per person, based on two sharing. It includes breakfast accommodation at the Trosa Stadshotell and Spa in Trosa, car hire and flights from Heathrow.

A three-night self-drive stay in Gjógv on the island of Eysturoy, The Faroe Islands, costs from £827, based on two sharing and includes a stay at the Gjáargarður Gjøgv guesthouse, car hire and flights from Stansted.
