Stop the Drop - Hilton introduces Meet with Purpose

Hilton has conducted a survey finding that one in three Brits admit to feeling drowsy during meetings, identifying the hours between14:00 and 16:00 as the period they feel at their least productive.

The findings come as Hilton launches Meet with Purpose in the UK which aims to address the needs of meeting attendees and help boost productivity through mindful eating, mindful being and sustainable solutions.

A recent global survey by the hotel group, which uncovered the habits of British, German and U.S. meeting attendees, revealed that over one in three admitted to feeling drowsy or falling asleep during meetings after lunch.

Moreover Brits show themselves to be addicted to their phones and laptops during meetings with over half sending unimportant emails or texts and one in five playing games or checking the latest sports scores.

Key reasons for the afternoon slump for Brits correlate with meetings that fail to provide nutriouts and energizing food or adequate breaks that allow attendees to be active.

Following a successful introduction in the US last year the hotel group is extending its Meet with Purpose programme to all its UK hotels, offering solutions to plan meetings with nutritious meals, incorporating active moments into meetings and access to health clubs and spas, where available, and sustainability elements.
