The UK Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) has released an interim report about the investigation of the incident that occurred on Ethiopian B787 at Heathrow Airport on July 12, 2013.
The safety of passengers and crew members who fly aboard Ethiopian is our highest priority and we will closely follow the result of the investigation and will update further communications.
A fire event occurred on a parked, unoccupied and electrically un-powered Boeing 787 aircraft at London Heathrow Airport. Subsequent examination of the fire-affected area has focussed on the Emergency Locator Transmitter (ELT). Two Safety Recommendations have been made.
