STA Travel has launched a new 'Tailor Made Africa' programme offering bespoke itineraries for customers to build their own African experience.
Options include searching for the Big Five in the Serengeti, driving South Africa’s famous Garden Route, hiking the snowy peaks of Mount Kilimanjaro and bungee jumps from Victoria Falls.
Tim Fryer, product and marketing director for the company, said: “We’re incredibly excited to follow the successful 'Tailor Made Asia' concept with Africa, where we offer a complete mix of experiences - from the adventure of safaris, mountains and iconic falls and the unique red sand dunes of Namibia to the stunning beaches of Zanzibar and a taste of Cape Town’s cosmopolitan V&A Waterfront. There really is an itinerary that can be built for each customer.”
As an example of prices, an 11-day Cape, Winelands & Safari self-drive tour costs from £615 and takes guests through the vineyards, cliffs and blue lagoons of the Garden Route. Highlights include the chance for wine tasting in Stellenbosch, feasting on oysters in Knysa Bay and searching for the Big Five at the Kariega Lodge.
The itinerary includes all accommodation, some meals, a Cape Town welcome pack and 24-hour in-country support. Flights and car hire are excluded.
