SpiceRoads Cycle Tours, a bicycle operator in Asia, has introduced five new heritage bicycle tours of Burma, Bhutan, Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam to  highlight the best scenery, historic sites, art and culture of each of the destinations. By cycling short distances at a relaxed pace over seven days, guests have time to take in UNESCO World Heritage sites, meet the locals, sample local cuisine and soak up the atmosphere.
As examples, a Bhutan - Paro to Punakha option introduces an isolated country where Tibetan Buddhism is integral to the culture. Guests will take in the mountain ranges, dense forests, historic dzongs (fortresses), monasteries and temples. The next tour departs on April 22 and leads in at US$2,100. Scheduled departures are also available in June, August, September and October.
A Burma - Mandalay to Bagan tour starts from Kipling’s Mandalay to travel via the Irrawaddy River to the temples at Bagan and ends with a visit to the Shwedagon Paya in Yangon. Scheduled tours are set for July, October and November and prices lead in at US$1,950.
