Sofitel Legend has reopened the Cartagena Santa Clara following three years of renovation work.

Located in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Cartagena and overlooking the Caribbean Sea, the hotel offers 122 guest rooms, comprised of a Colonial wing and a Republican wing.

The Colonial wing offers 17 suites, including a Junior Suite Legend and a 1,539sq.ft Fernando Botero Suite, named after the Colombian artist and featuring several pieces of his work.

The Republican wing reflects architectural details of the Republican era, along with elements of French and Colombian culture.

Situated in the former Clarist nuns’ dining room, the property’s restaurant, 1621, offers Mediterranean cuisine with a French twist, while the El Claustro brasserie offers a more casual eating experience.

The hotel features a spa with a variety of treatments, a hammam, solarium, fitness centre and dedicated tea area.

Also featured is a pool with sea views, a courtyard and access to the privately-owned beachfront properties nearby.
