Serena Hotels highlights new activities in East Africa

Serena Hotels has introduced a number of new activities for guests in its lodges in Tanzania and Kenya.

Activities range from interactive cooking lessons and Swahili lessons to Maasai lectures teaching guests about culture, dances and bead making.

As examples, Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge in Tsavo has introduced new photography lessons, aerobics and bicycle riding as part of its initiative to keep guests active outside the gym. Guests can also learn basket weaving and bead making from the Kibwezi Women group and also learn how to make cocktails.

At Lake Elmenteita Serena Camp, new activities include horse-riding, jogging and bush barbecue lunch/dinner, while guests staying at Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge can learn more about Serena?s environment conservation lectures and plant a tree. Other activities include birding safaris, nature walks and camel rides.
