Saxon Boutique Hotel and Spa in Johannesburg is poised to open 29 new suites in May.

The expansion will more than double the current capacity of 24 suites to 53 suites.

Each of the villas will have its own pool, terrace and lounge as well as a boardroom that may be converted into a dining room, a satellite kitchen and butler service.

“We believe this is the perfect time for our new development,” managing director George Cohen said.

“We clearly see the need for additional accommodation, starting with the World Cup played in South Africa.”

The hotel’s facilities include a private cinema, outdoor heated pool, outdoor infinity cold-water pool, gym and spa with hydrotherapy and hair studio. Prices lead in at £553 per night for an Egoli Suite.
