Scandinavian Airlines is expanding its regional network and launching a new direct route from Humberside International Airport to Copenhagen with operations scheduled to start on October 28.

The carrier will operate a daily service to Copenhagen from Humberside, five times weekly, with fares starting from £103 one-way including taxes and charges.

The airline's regional general manager Hans Dyhrfort said: “With more than five million people living within reach of the airport, the Humber region is an important northern hub and area of development for SAS. And with the area on its way to becoming the renewable energy capital of the UK, now is the perfect time to strengthen ties with Denmark and the Nordic region."

Connections are available at Copenhagen to a number of onward points including

Finland (Turku and Helsinki), Sweden (Gothenburg and Stockholm), Norway (Oslo, Bergen, Stavanger), Poland (Warsaw, Gdansk, Poznan, Wroclaw), Lithuania (Palanga) and Denmark (Aarhus, Billund, Aalborg).
