Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) is expanding its route network to include a further six UK destinations via Heathrow, starting Thursday, October 16, 2014, following a Special Prorate Agreement with British Airways (BA).

The agreement will extend RB’s network to key destinations such as Manchester, Glasgow, Belfast and Edinburgh and will enable passengers to book single-ticket flights on routes not currently available, such as Aberdeen to Manila.

Further passenger benefits will include baggage being checked all the way to the end destination and boarding passes being issued for all flights at the first check-in point, helping eliminate hassle during transfers. Business class passengers will also get access to all BA business lounges, allowing them to travel in comfort on all their long-haul flights.

RB’s UK and Ireland Country Manager, Aiden Walsh said, “This is a very exciting deal for Royal Brunei Airlines, allowing us to build our presence within the region which is a very important market for us. Extending our route network throughout the UK will allow passengers the ability to fly with comfort to a wider range of UK destinations, whilst also taking advantage of RB’s guaranteed 100% Dreamliner service on all long haul flights internationally”.

RB currently operates daily flights out of London Heathrow to 16 cities around the world, including Melbourne, Kota Kinabalu, Dubai and Manila. The evening departures from Heathrow and early morning arrivals allow passengers to connect with a wide of range of BA flights in Europe, cutting down overall travel time.

Flights will operate daily fromHeathrow on BA’s UK domestic fleet to and from the following destinations:

· Manchester
· Glasgow
· Leeds Bradford
· Edinburgh
· Aberdeen
· Belfast
