Riviera Travel takes 24 agents to experience 'Douro Valley to Lisbon' tour

Riviera Travel took 24 travel agents on a fam trip last week to Portugal to make them experience its 'Douro Valley to Lisbon for Solo Travellers' seven-night tour.

While touring Lisbon and Porto along the Douro river, agents sampled some of Douro wines and experienced a Fado show among other excursions. They also had a ship visit on the five-star Douro Elegance.

The tour operator said its range of solo departures continue to increase in popularity and attribute trade as a major factor.

Will Sarson, head of specialist products at Riviera, said: “Interest in our Solo Travellers programme has been going from strength to strength and we have been working hard to increase our offering yet further.  For 2020 we will have our biggest ever choice of tours and cruises, exclusively for solo travellers, and we were delighted to be able to invite along a number of our agent partners to experience one of these holidays first-hand.  I am sure that those who were on the trip will now be able to really get across to their customers what a wonderful opportunity there is for solo holidays and cruises with Riviera Travel.“

Portugal’s Douro Valley to Lisbon for solo travellers starts from £1,199 per person.
