ALBERT DOCK Liverpool has announced that its Pirate Festival will make its return in a couple of months - on September 12 and 13.
The free tourist attraction offers visitors the chance to watch live action battles with cannons and gunpowder, witness sword fights and duels and step aboard authentic pirate vessels.
The event also includes cannon displays, live birds of prey and face painting.
Local restaurants and shops will also be providing kids-eat-free offers. Albert Dock is also host to a range of other upcoming events and activities, including the Weekend of Sport: Red Bull Harbour Reach (July 25) and the Tri Liverpool (July 26).
