Regent Holidays has launched a new tour to increase the chance of seeing the Northern Lights in Iceland.
The Northern Lights Explorer Tour includes six separate hunting expeditions over six nights in some of the country’s most remote locations. Guests will also be able to attend nightly lectures from experts who will lead guided tours around the countryside of West and Southeast Iceland, from Snæfellsnes peninsula to Vatnajökull glacier.
The tour also includes trips to waterfalls, lava fields, fjords, geysers, hot springs, glaciers, icebergs, black lava beaches and the Blue Lagoon.
Prices lead in at £1,245 per person and departures take place on selected dates until March next year.
Included are flights from Heathrow or Glasgow with Icelandair, accommodation at a choice of hotels on a half-board basis, sightseeing with guides, entrance fees on sightseeing tours, a traditional Icelandic dinner at a Northern Light Inn and a Northern Lights Academy programme with six evenings of lectures, presentations, guided searches and midnight refreshments.
