Regent Holidays has launched its latest brochure entitled ‘The Alternative Collection’, featuring an extensive range of small group tours, tailor-made itineraries and city breaks to Russia, North Korea, Eastern and Central Europe, Central Asia and beyond.

Examples include a 16-day Trans-Siberian small group option, which takes visitors beyond the remote tracks of the Trans-Siberian railway and onto the Baikal-Amur Mainline (BAM) Railway from Severobaikalsk, through rarely visited mountains, marshes and tundra to Vladivostok. Prices start from £3,485 per person for an August 13 departure.

An eight-day Behind the Iron Curtain tour delves into the former communist countries of Russia, uncovering stories of a communist past, with prices from £1,699 per person.
The programme also includes a return to Cuba, with a choice of group tours and fly/drive breaks available. For example, a 14-day ‘Revolutionary Cuba Fly/Drive’ holiday is an ideal choice for travellers in search of history and culture, and costs from £2,345 per person.

All prices include flights in Economy Class, airport taxes, transfers and transport, accommodation in three- or four-star hotels with many meals included and sightseeing with an English-speaking guide.
