Railbookers issues 2018 Independent Rail Holidays Programme

Railbookers has announced the release of is largest programme of holidays for the 2018 season.

The company's continued growth is reflected in the new 2018 Independent Rail Holidays brochure, its largest to date, and features more than 60 of its most popular holidays by rail, from short breaks to journeys of a lifetime, throughout Europe, the US and Canada. All itineraries can be customised, and a selection of the 300 plus itineraries can be found at railbookers.co.uk

Although Eurostar remains popular for customers in the South of England, in response to agent demand from the North of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland, the 2018 programme offers regional flight departures directly to and from key European cities where the rail experience can begin or end.

The company's managing director, Peter Traynor, said: ?I have been delighted by the response from travel agents to the Railbookers 2017 programme. The average booking value has been around ?4,000, showing that customers seek the assurance and expertise of our agent partners in planning such complex holidays.
"Our 2018 programme has reacted to agent demand to offer ever more variety. All our holidays are designed for the independent traveller so can be tailored to suit their exact requirements, whether that is by using UK rail, regional flights or even ferries.

"Many agents use our services to add value to a Mediterranean or European River cruise by making the pre- or post-cruise journey an extension of the holiday, and not just a transfer. We provide a one-stop solution for agents to provide their clients with a fully protected tailor-made independent rail holiday.?

In addition to popular scenic rail journeys through Switzerland, Austria and Italy, the brochure highlights the increasing trend towards multi-centre rail holidays further afield in Europe, such as Berlin and Warsaw and Zagreb Split and Dubrovnik. The amount of North America itineraries has been doubled to 14 in response to the demand for the longer rail journeys featured in popular TV programmes fronted by Michael Portillo and Billy Connolly. Early booking discounts of up to ?200 per couple are available on selected itineraries.
