Qantas has officially launched the new schedule for its London to Melbourne A380 service, commencing July 21, 2014.

The new schedule means Qantas Flight QF10 will now depart London’s Heathrow Airport in the afternoon instead of evening, offering customers an evening arrival into Melbourne. The current timetable has both A380 services to Australia, (Melbourne and Sydney services), departing within an hour of each other.

Qantas Regional general manager, UK & Ireland Eric Jelinek said the retimed service offered more flexibility for customers travelling between London and Australia.

“Qantas offers double daily A380 services to Australia via Dubai. Our new schedule means our customers now have a choice between an afternoon departure or an evening departure from London, and an early morning or lunchtime arrival on their return journey to the UK,” said Mr Jelinek.

The new London-Australia schedule is effective July 21, 2014:

Qantas A380 London to Australia:

QF10 departs London Heathrow at 1330 and arrives Melbourne at 2055 the following day
QF2 departs London Heathrow at 2120 and arrives Sydney at 0620 two days later
Return:
QF9 departs Melbourne at 2255 and arrives in London at 1340 the following day
QF1 departs Sydney at 1550 and arrives in London at 0645 the following day

Tickets for the newly timed service can be booked online at qantas.com
