Princess Cruises launches £1 deposit day

Princess Cruises is giving holidaymakers the chance to secure a cruise for just a £1 deposit per person - for one day only - on June 12.

This is the third year the cruise line has made the £1 deposit available, which means guests will have nothing further to pay until 90 days before sailing.

The offer applies to all destinations and all ships with cruises departing on or after January 1, 2020, and can be combined with the cruise line's current ‘Three for Free’ deal’. This comprises up to $500 spending money per couple, a complimentary speciality dining experience and a bottle of red or white wine on select sailings.

Princess sails to more than 380 destinations across all seven continents and with the low deposit offer, guests can choose to sail further afield including to the likes of Asia, the Caribbean, Australia & New Zealand, Alaska and Hawaii.

Tony Roberts, vice president for the cruise line's UK and Europe division, said: “The £1 deposit has proved incredibly popular for our agent partners, with record-breaking Princess Cruises booking days in both the previous years when the offer was available.

“We’d like to thank the trade for the great support they continue to give us for £1 deposit day and we have every confidence this year will prove equally successful. With the offer including UK-based cruises from Southampton, to far-flung fly cruises on the other side of the world, there’s a wealth of choice available to agents and their customers.”

Some of the tours included in the offer are seven-night Scandinavia cruise on Crown Princess sailing roundtrip from Southampton. Departing July 4, ports of call include Kristiansand (Norway), Copenhagen (Denmark), Skagen (Denmark) and Oslo (Norway). Prices start from £799 per person with up to $125 onboard spending money per person, a complimentary bottle of wine and free speciality dining.

Sky Princess, Princess Cruises’ newest ship launching in October this year, will sail Scandinavia and Russia roundtrip from Copenhagen in spring and summer next year. An 11-night cruise departs on May 28 and includes calls to Oslo (Norway), Berlin (Germany), Tallinn (Estonia), St. Petersburg (Russia), Helsinki (Finland), and Stockholm (Sweden). Prices start from £1,699 per person with up to $125 onboard spending money.
