Agents can log on to www.trade.premierholidays.co.uk to complete the destination modules. Each module has detailed information on the location along with helpful hints and tips for selling. Participants may need to refer to Premier Holidays’ latest brochures and website to find some of the answers.
Each module has a pass level of 75%. For every module an agent passes, they will receive an e-mail congratulating them, along with a certificate. They will also be automatically entered into a draw to win a monthly prize draw – December’s offering is six bottles of bubbly.
“Agents who pass with flying colours at 100% will be awarded the Premier Expert title and receive a logo which they can display in-store, giving consumers the confidence they need to book,” esaid Debbie Goffin, head of sales and marketing, Premier Holidays.
Modules currently available include Thailand, Malaysia, Southern Africa, Indochina and Burma. More modules will be online soon, such as the Indian Ocean, Middle East, Canada, America, Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man.
“We’ve launched the Online Travel Training Academy now in response to feedback from agents who want to learn more about Premier Holidays and the key areas we sell,” Goffin added. “Although we have a sales team, who are constantly out on the road visiting travel agents, they can’t be everywhere at once so these modules allow agents the convenience to complete the modules when it suits them.”
