Premier Holidays reports surge in sales for Channel Islands

Premier Holidays has seen a surge in bookings to the Channel Islands for 2017.

Sales for Jersey and Guernsey holidays have more than trebled for 2017 compared to the same period this year, with rooms at many hotels on both islands already selling fast.

The operator has noted that self-catering and family rooms are usually the first to sell out and so is encouraging agents to recommend booking early if clients are considering a holiday to the destination next year.

Bev Scarr, short haul product manager at the company, said: ?We are seeing a huge spike in demand in clients booking holidays to both Jersey and Guernsey, with a significant increase across the board. This early demand may very well be down to the fact that Jersey and Guernsey offer people a taste of the Continent, but with the familiarity and security of home. The currency is also pound sterling, so people know what they are getting for their money. Plus, both destinations are just an hour away by plane.?

As a part of its new autumn campaign the operator has also launched a selection of foodie packages to the Channel Islands.

The offers will give people the chance to enjoy the two annual food festivals in Jersey and Guernsey - Tennerfest and the Guernsey International Food Festival - at reduced prices. The packages also include free meals, free room upgrades and free afternoon tea.

Travel agents can also benefit from the operator?s agent incentive, earning ?5 for every inclusive short haul booking made, dependent on booking value.
