This month Philippine Airlines and Tourism Australia are to host a new agent trivia event for 2017.
Dubbed The Great Australian Challenge, the evening will see agent teams of five go head to head competing with rival agencies for multiple prizes, including free flights to Australia for everyone on the winning team.
Throughout the evening agents will have the chance to enhance their knowledge, with one walking away with the inaugural title as the first winner of The Great Australian Challenge, and it will be held on March 20 at the Hippodrome in London’s Leicester Square.
David Cochrane, UK & Ireland country manager for the airline, said: “This event comes at the perfect time. Australia continues to be a very important market for Philippine Airlines, as we currently fly to Brisbane, Melbourne, Darwin, Sydney and Cairns, and will start operating our new cabin product on flights Down Under from this summer whilst we also start to increase frequencies.”
Denise von Wald, regional general manager for Tourism Australia, added: “Tourism Australia is committed to working with the trade, and our Aussie Specialist Program gives agents the opportunity to build on their knowledge of Australia, helping them to sell the destination even more effectively. Events such as The Great Australian Challenge allow us to further engage with front line agents.”
