Orbital Travel reports a significant increase in the number of clients that have travelled on its Nile Cruise between January and March this year compared to 2014.

The operator says tourists are starting to come back in considerable numbers and it is predicting a busy Winter 2015/2016, traditionally the peak season for Nile Cruises.

Forward bookings for the period have more than doubled compared to the same booking period in 2014. Prices for a seven-night cruise on full-board on the MS Orbital Royal Esadora lead in at £339 per person and include 12 excursions escorted by a qualified Egyptologist and transfers, commissionable at 15%. Flights are not included.

Orbital Travel has also seen significant interest in the Long Nile Cruise between Cairo and Aswan. It offers four itineraries on the route with sailings in April, May, August and September. A nine-night Luxor to Cairo cruise leads in at £1119 per person based on full-board (twin share) with transfers and 14 guided excursions, commissionable at 15%. Flights are not included.

John McCallum, managing director, said: “We are predicting that for Winter 15/16 we will continue to see ever increasing numbers of visitors return to the Nile. It will be great to see these numbers returning, we fully recommend that people make the most of lower prices and fewer crowds and book to travel in 2015.”
