One Stop Touring Shop (1STS), which consists of the escorted touring brands, Insight Vacations, Trafalgar and Contiki Holidays, has launched all three of its US and Canada brochures with new destinations, new itineraries and new experiences.
The company reports that sales for this region this year are so far up 30% over last year and to reflect this increased demand, all three brands have expanded their portfolios.
For 2013, Insight Vacations launches seven new itineraries in its ultra-luxury Gold programme. These include Southern Tastes and Dixie Tunes, Capitals of Eastern Canada and Icons of the American Heartland. The new brochure also features 37 new and upgraded hotels and new destinations including Chicago, Nashville, Cape Cod and the Mississippi River, on the paddle-wheeled “American Queen” steamboat on an eight-day river cruise.
Trafalgar’s 2013 brochure features ten new trips across the US, Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica and Panama. The programme features ten new local Be My Guest dining experiences, six new Unique Insights and 17 new Local Specialties, as well as a new concept – Taste of America – which currently features two itineraries designed for foodies. Other new itineraries include the Florida Sunshine Trail, Aloha Hawaii and Canyon Country Jamboree, with the latter two representing an expansion of the operator's family-friendly portfolio.
The major development in Contiki Holidays’ US & Canada 2013 programme is the launch of Coachella, an annual music and arts festival. The new six-night Coachella trip begins in Los Angeles before taking in the Palm Springs desert for three days of music and sunshine. There are two departures - April 10 and 17, 2013, catching both weekends of the festival. Both departures also give the option of connecting with another trip afterwards such as the Wild Western or the Western Highlights, taking in destinations such as San Diego, Las Vegas, Phoenix, the Grand Canyon and more.
