East Midlands and Manchester Airports have added to their 2010 winter holiday portfolio with new departures to the magical Northern Lights in Lapland.

Part of Transun Holiday’s Artic Spirit range, the three day trip in search of the Northern Lights will depart from East Midlands Airport on the January 7, with several departures running throughout January and February from Manchester Airport.

Taking customers deep inside the Arctic Circle, the visit offers the unique opportunity to venture out into the pristine Arctic wilderness on a snowmobile safari and also on a night-time husky safari in search of the fabled Aurora Borealis.

The trip also includes full board accommodation, a wilderness snowshoe expedition, a reindeer camp experience, flights and transfers.

Sarah Fletcher, head of group charter key accounts, Manchester Airports Group said: “We are delighted to have extended our winter holidays portfolio to include this unique trip to the Northern Lights. This is a once in a lifetime experience that is guaranteed to keep all the family entertained long after the magic of Christmas is over.”
