The Spanish Thyme Traveller is offering clients a new guided cava-tasting trip in Valencia, where travellers will visit two cava-producing wineries as well as trying the local food.

On day one, guests will sample Valencian paella in the city centre or at the beach at lunchtime, followed by an evening spent at a city centre tapas bar.
On day two, there are visits to two wineries in Requena to learn about cava and to taste different types. Traditional paella will be served at one of the bodegas (wineries) following the tasting, before returning to Valencia late afternoon.
Finally, day three will leave guests time to visit the city and experience the historical centre or the City of the Arts and Science Museum.
The trip costs from €495 and includes two nights’ breakfast accommodation at a four-star boutique hotel, one tapas and cava-tasting session, one midday meal and wine, all excursions and the services of a tour guide. It is based on two people sharing and there is a single supplement of €90.
The tour will this year take place on September 27-29, October 25-27 and November 22-24, with 2014 dates to be confirmed.
