The company's marketing manager, Richard Adams, said: ?In terms of iconic rail journeys, nothing beats the extraordinary Trans-Siberian Express ? at least nothing beats the experience of travelling along that route in the luxurious Golden Eagle private train.? For its 2011 programme of river cruises by rail, the operator is highlighting a new ?Waterways of the Tsars? cruise along the Volga-Baltic waterway, with departures in May, June and September next year. The cruise offers a choice of ten shore excursions including Uglich, the ?Golden Ring? city of Yaroslavl and the village of Goritzy, Kihzi Island ? a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

It costs from ?3,185 per person, based on twin share and includes all travel, most meals, transfers, flights, taxes and charges, plus the services of a tour manager.
